The new Photon V2+ controller brings smoother ramping, easier programming, and a lightening simulation to the popular V2 controller platform.
The Photon V2+ upgrade kit allows owners of the original Photon V2 to upgrade their light(s) to the Photon V2+ Controller. This is NOT the right kit to upgrade your light to work with the Reef Nexus App. If you are looking to use the app, you need THIS kit: Reef Nexus Integration Kit. Now that the Reef Nexus integration kit is released, we recommend that users of the legacy V2 controllers upgrade their lights using the Reef Nexus for wireless app control. Each V2+ remote can control multiple lights. However older V2 (not plus) lights require 1 new signal receiver board per light. Those are required to use the new controller. If you are using the older V2 remote, you MUST install a new signal receiver board to use the new V2+ remote.
NOTE: Some installation is required for this product. Reef Breeders LLC is not responsible for repairing the light due to any damage caused during installation. If you are not handy and/or good with electronics, we do not recommend that you install these parts on your own. Read all instructions FULLY BEFORE purchasing.
We also have the V2+ Remote and Receiver boards available for sale separately. Please note: the receiver board is required to use the V2+ remote if your light is the original V2 (2016-18 model). If you're unsure about your particular light- ask us before ordering.
Remote: The wireless touch-button controller (pictured in photo gallery above).
Receiver Board: The part that goes inside the light, and receives a signal from the remote- (blue circuit board in the video below).
