These check valves are heavier duty and a bit bulkier than the default check valves included with your dosing pumps. These are recommend if you have longer dosing lines with more than 3.5 feet of head height, or if you are dosing certain trace elements that are less viscous and have trouble keeping a prime with the default check valves.
