The Photon V2+ control system has been retired and replaced by the ReefBreeders App in 2021. However, we continue to offer limited stock of the V2+ remotes and receiver boards for those who prefer the legacy remote-controlled setup or need replacement parts.
⚠️ Not App Compatible:
These parts do not work with the ReefBreeders App. If you’d like to control your light via the app, please purchase the ReefBreeders App Integration Kit.
What’s Available:
You can purchase the following options from the dropdown menu above:
- V2+ Remote Only – The wireless touch-button controller (pictured above).
- V2+ Receiver Board Only – The internal circuit board that receives signals from the V2+ remote (blue board shown in the video).
- Remote + Receiver Combo – One of each, for upgrading an original V2 light to work with the V2+ remote, or repairing a V2+ Photon.
Compatibility:
- The V2+ remote can control multiple lights.
- Each individual Photon V2 light requires its own V2+ receiver board to work with the V2+ remote.
- If your light already has a V2+ receiver board installed, you can simply replace the remote.

I needed to upgrade the control board in my photon 48 v2 fixture that had a v2+ remote. I installed it once it arrived and immediately observed the exact powering on process explained to me in my correspondence with the company and it connected seamlessly to my remote. That one part being upgraded allowed me to now have a fully and perfectly functioning fixture. Im not awaiting the arrival of the new BOT mount I’ve ordered.
