What is it?
The ReefBreeders App Integration Kit replaces your Photon Remote with a cloud based wireless app. This allows you to fully control your Photon V2 and V2+ via our ReefBreeders App on your iPhone or Android smartphone. Our app is intuitive, easy to use, and has far more advanced programming capabilities than the default controller. You can control your Photon V2 Pro using your smartphone from anywhere in the world- as long as you are connected to the internet.
The ReefBreeders App Integration Kit replaces your current controller chip, so you will no longer be using the included remote to control your light. All control functions will be handled via our ReefBreeders App.
How Does it Work?
The ReefBreeders App Interface includes everything you need to get started- all that is required is 2.4Ghz home network connected to the internet, and an iOS or Android smartphone or tablet. Once you install the kit and connect your light to the internet, it is fully controlled via the ReefBreeders App.
Will this work with Multiple Photon V2/V2+ Lights?
Absolutely, however you will need one ReefBreeders App Integration kit per Photon V2/V2+. Once each light has the ReefBreeders App Integration kit installed, you can group them together in the app, or program them individually if they are on separate tanks.
Is my light Compatible?
Any of our Photon V2 or Photon V2+ lights can easily be upgraded to the V2 Pro. Legacy lights like the Photon V1, V1 W, SuperLux, and Value fixtures are not compatible. If you are unsure on your light model just reach out to us and we will help you determine your lights compatibility. If your light was purchased new anytime after January of 2016 there is a good chance it’s a V2. V2/V2+ Photon V2 and V2+ will have 6 control channels, and a wireless remote with an LCD screen.

- ReefBreeders App Integration circuit board
- New black powder-coated aluminum side-plate to fit the LED indicator and antenna (protrudes less than 1/4" from the light- and is about the thickness of a credit-card)

Because of my own fault i didnt upgrade to the new app and integrate my light over to the new app. but i was able to get the updated board at a heavily discounted price. It came right away and was easy to install. and as soon as i turned the light on i was able to get the light linked to the app. its a great app and awesome light.
Great customer service along with helpful video to explain how to replace the new. Easy and quick delivery.

Light is back up and doing a great job.
The boards… for installation needing to take the whole top plate. When I took them off I wasn’t prepared for the LED lenses to be loose and half them slide around. Then the red rubber seals would not cut loose even with a utility knife used multiple times with force. After getting the rubber finally cut, the small connector would not come out without excessive force that caused us to fear it was damaged. Luckily it wasn’t. The second light was much easier because we knew what to expect and the red rubber was much thinner.

For others reading this, we want to point out that we provide a detailed step-by-step installation video, both on the product page and through a QR code in the box. In the video, we show how to safely loosen the red seals using a hair dryer or heat gun to avoid having to cut them, and we also explain that there’s no need to remove or touch the LED lenses during installation.
